The player is still in early testing (alpha) phase, so do not expect everything to work yet.

Linux (x86)

 

Make sure the BASS libraries are installed. You can install these libraries easy by running the 'installbass.sh' script included in the archive. This script will need your administrator password to copy the libraries to '/usr/lib'.

Added M4A (iTunes format). UPDATED THE BASS Libraries. Please run installbass.sh again.

sh ./installbass.sh

 

If you are using a Linux distro based on debian you can, instead of running the previous command, download and install basslibs_2.4.10.deb

 

To make use of the MP3 or FLAC encoder you need to install LAME and/or FLAC

Linux (Raspberry Pi - ARM)

 

Make sure the BASS libraries are installed. You can install these libraries easy by running the 'installbass.sh' script included in the archive. This script will need your administrator password to copy the libraries to '/usr/lib'.

To make use of the MP3 or FLAC encoder you need to install LAME and/or FLAC. These are however not yet used in the ARM version.

 

0.23a and above: NEW BASS LIBRARIES. Please run installbass.sh again. Support for FX. Support for AAC (Apple .M4A)

 

There is no CD support, AAC and FX Support ye.

No Radio Images yet (will soon be added)

Windows (x86)

 

This version is not very well tested. Please report errors and/or bugs.

 

If you want to rip DVD Tracks to MP3/FLAC you will need to install mplayer for windows. (Experimental support). You will need to use the configuration dialog to set the right path to the mplayer application.

MacOS (x86 - intel)

 

MacOS development is back on track.

 

If you want to rip CD Tracks to MP3/FLAC you will need to install lame and/or flac for MacOS.

Installing mplayer is not needed anymore, mplayer binary is included in download.

 

You can also install lame, flac and mplayer using MacPorts (http://www.macports.org)

After installing MacPorts, start the Terminal. In the Terminal you type:

 

cd /opt/local/bin

sudo port -v selfupdate

sudo port install lame

sudo port install flac

sudo port install mplayer
